This LIVE ladybird educational kit is perfect for the study of the popular ladybird beetle (Adalia bipunctata).
Everything you need to rear your own ladybirds in this super easy educational kit.
Once the kit arrives, make up the paper base in the breeding tub, then tip the case of larvae and food on top, nothing more needs to be done!
The lifecycle on average is between 21-28 days, during this time you can make daily observations using the included poster. Once the cycle has completed, the ladybirds should be released within 24hrs unless an abundant supply of aphids can be sourced to feed them.
The kit is available from March to mid-September.
The ladybirds can be a mix of black with red spots and red with black spots.
Kit includes:
Cassette of approx. 25 larvae with food (we guarantee 10 adult ladybirds from 25 larvae)
Basic plastic tub in which to carry out the rearing (may vary to the product image)
Please note: this kit is only available in the United Kingdom.
If you choose to upgrade to a DHL delivery option (UK addresses only) at checkout, please be aware that your order will still be dispatched on your chosen week. This service does not include weekend deliveries.

A: Hello,
Everything you need to rear the ladybirds is included with this kit! It is only a small box that will need to be stored and so it does not take up much space at all!
